About me
My love for movement started at 10 years old when I first stepped onto a volleyball court. At 14 I became a pro-athlete and moved away from home to pursue the dream of being a great volleyball player.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the thrill of the sport and the movement itself. But after 5 years the super competitive, win-at-all-costs environment started feeling like a not-so-great fit for me.
By 19, an eating disorder had taken over and I found myself retreating back to the safety of my parents' house. It was during this rough patch that I stumbled into the Pramiti School of Yoga (thanks for dragging me to that first class, Dad!). It was like a huge breath of fresh air, helping quiet the chaos in my head.
Around the same time, I attended my first Vipassana meditation course that really sparked my interest for mindfulness. I was hooked and started practicing Vipassana regularly, both at home and by attending courses at the nearest centre.
I became a Yoga teacher after attending the 300 TTC at the Sivananda London Centre in 2016. But my journey didn't stop there. I did a second TTC with the Scuola Pramiti of Ventimiglia (2018) to deepen my understand of mindfulness, movement and pranayama.
I continued to study and train at first to learn more about myself, I had this burning desire to understand what was going on inside me because for years, I dealt with all these random symptoms that doctors couldn't explain. Turns out, it was endometriosis (go figure!).
This personal struggle motivated me to really geek out on the breath through the Oxygen Advantage program and get nerdy with anatomy through Celest Pereira's courses and learn more about the pelvic floor and core through Pilates and under the guide of a Pelvic Physio.
Now I'm thrilled to share with you everything I've learned and continue learning about the mind-body connection.
In my classes, we'll dive into the fascinating relationship between our minds and bodies, helping you cultivate a greater sense of calm and well-being while improving physical fitness.
If you're feeling a little lost or struggling with self-confidence, trust me, I've been there. The path hasn't been a straight line for me either. But I'm stoked to share the tools and mindset shifts that have helped me navigate the bumps along the way.
